A while ago i had to wipe my comp and had to reset it back to factory standards. But ever since then i have had a major problem getting TF2 to work properly, every time i try i end up getting huge amounts of lag and a ping around 200-300 so it makes playing impossible. Every thing else on my comp works just fine. Any suggestions?

Vid card, network card, chipset drivers. Make sure they're the latest.

What conduit said, but if that doesn't work let us know and maybe something else will help fix.

If all else fails, delete tf2/reinstall.

If that doesn't fix it, format your HD and reinstall a clean OS.

ok i was able to get the proper drivers and install them and it worked for the most part...the only server that i seem to have a problem with is the STNO server. Whenever i connect it gives me about 3 seconds of lag the kicks me with the error message " Buffer Overflow". Any suggestions?

check your rates, i had the same problem till i fixed my rates

what do you mean by rates and how do i fix them?
