I will be voting yes to change to be honest my biggest reason is I just don't like it. I know that's not a good reason, it is not my only. I think it is very confusing. I think it was stage two that there is a cap point that you approach from two sides via ramp/steps. 2 level 3 sentries and your not capping that point. I think this is when rtv took over and Killer Mingus put a custom map vote and we had some fun with cashworks.

I'm not a big fan of the map either.

I was playing with both Crazy and Mingus when we were discussing Egypt, and we realized that it's mostly a difficulty issue. Yesterday was the first time that any of us had ever even seen the first stage of the map won. The difficulty in capping the second point on the first stage (and first point on second stage) just lead to the map not being fun for the blue team and a lot of rage quitters.
I don't care for the map at all and would love to see it out of rotation.

I have to agree. I am not a big fan of it either. The shear size of the map makes it very difficult to attack, and then with the way the map is laid out, it's very difficult for blu to set up any kind of a base after the first control point has been taken. I think it is a neat map and I've enjoyed playing it a couple times in the past. But it is not a map that valve should have put their weight behind.

to tell the truth, i dont find many problems with it. its pretty decent, and most sections, have an easily gained first point, and a not so easily gained second. much like some of the valve-made stock maps. all it takes to down a sentry is an uberd demo and you're through. what people don't realize, is that with a 2 medic limit, you can fire two ubers at once. and to most who don't know, thats called teamwork. which lots of people dont seem to get. i vote no.

This map is only ever fun for 1 team at a time. You're either steamrolled or steamrolling.

cp_well cp_granary cp_dustbowl cp_gravelpit ctf_2fort ctf_well cp_badlands cp_fastlane ctf_turbine cp_steel cp_egypt_final pl_goldrush pl_badwater
Current stock maps on the rotation, think we have them all. Ill remove egypt due to its unpopularity, but I dont think there is another stock map to replace it with, just need to remove it.

Thank you Dox. Does it have to be replaced with stock map? Can it be replaced with another custom map that's not in rotation? Is the updated version of cashworks in the rotation? Is there any other "intel" maps out there?
Thanks again Dox.

current rotation:
cp_well cp_granary cp_dustbowl cp_gravelpit cp_badlands cp_fastlane cp_steel cp_toy_fort_alt2 cp_warpath_v2
ctf_2fort ctf_well ctf_turbine ctf_mach4
pl_goldrush pl_badwater pl_halfacre_b3 pl_frontier
All custom maps on server:
avanti_b1.bsp.bz2 cp_Blackmesa.bsp.bz2 cp_arnold_b3.bsp.bz2 cp_basement_v3.bsp.bz2 cp_beach_final.bsp.bz2 cp_blaststone_silo_b2.bsp.bz2 cp_bloodstained.bsp.bz2 cp_broma.bsp.bz2 cp_castle4.bsp.bz2 cp_dust_town_b2.bsp.bz2 cp_floodzone2_final.bsp.bz2 cp_japan_v2.bsp.bz2 cp_labor.bsp.bz2 cp_observatory4.bsp.bz2 cp_orange_x3.bsp.bz2 cp_overflow.bsp.bz2 cp_plot_v2.bsp.bz2 cp_redstone_b2.bsp.bz2 cp_roswell.bsp.bz2 cp_science2.bsp.bz2 cp_toy_fort_alt2.bsp.bz2 cp_toy_fort_beta2.bsp.bz2 cp_warpath2.bsp.bz2 cp_warpath_final.bsp.bz2 cp_warpath_v2.bsp.bz2 ctf_avantiville_b15.bsp.bz2 ctf_casbah.bsp.bz2 ctf_convoy_v2.bsp.bz2 ctf_cruise_b2b.bsp.bz2 ctf_mach4.bsp.bz2 ctf_royal_b2.bsp.bz2 ctf_royal_b3.bsp.bz2 ctf_urbis_b1.bsp.bz2 cyberpunk.bsp.bz2 gas_kaboom_beta3.bsp.bz2 gas_sarin_a1.bsp.bz2 pipeball.bsp.bz2 pl_cashworks_b1.bsp.bz2 pl_cashworks_b2.bsp.bz2 pl_cranetop_b3.bsp.bz2 pl_cranetop_b7.bsp.bz2 pl_frontier_b2.bsp.bz2 pl_halfacre_b3.bsp.bz2 pl_hoodoo.bsp.bz2 pl_hoodoo_b5.bsp.bz2 pl_snaketemple_a8.bsp.bz2 pl_swift.bsp.bz2 pl_waste_b3.bsp.bz2 pl_zig_b8.bsp.bz2 tc_meridian_b3.bsp.bz2 tc_meridian_b4.bsp.bz2
I should have a 3:1 ratio of stock to custom since stock maps bring in people. but I splurged and the current is 12:5
If I add a custom, I need to take one out.... let me know if you all want to change things up, or suggestions for a new map on the server.

Well, there is one stock map that I noticed is not on the list, and which I would like to play more often. Of course, it is likely not there because everyone in this community with any sense has banded together to shout in unison that it sucks, but whatever. Where is tc_hydro? I honestly always found it rather entertaining. If everybody else hates it, then I guess I don't mind, but, you know. Just a suggestion.

I say stick pl_swift in the rotation, it's a great pl map and will probably be made stock in the next class pack if not Cashworks.

It's an uphill battle, but once you know the maps and get coordinated it's a fair fight (As fair as an A/D map can be, anyways).
